I love it! I love the ending. That train of thought was very Zim and that storyline was very Irken. I wouldn't put it past them. Although, I always had the feeling something went "wrong" with Zim. in other words, something went right. He was different. Anyone could see that. I assumed, if Irkens were synthetic beings, that something was different in the procedure in which he was set up. The other Irkens sickeningly amused smirks, their overconfident tones, were often imitated but rarly replicated in Zim's twitchy, abused behaviors. He was more hesitant, more careful, believe it or not, than the others. This goes along with the "Defect" concept illistrated in many FanFictions. I have always aggreed with this concept, though not everyone does. Just like I don't agree with ZADR. I find it gross. I prefer ZADF. So much sweeter, so much rarer. But I'm getting off topic. In the long run, I hope my critique has given you some new things to think about on the topic of your story. Thank you.

Very nicely written, but have you ever read the script for "The Trail" ? It shows more of Zim's childhood and tells that he was plopped into a chair after falling down a tube. When the machines are done talking to him he is supposed to get out, but he claims the chair as his, and when another smeet drops down into the char for his turn, he takes the poor lil guy and shoves him back up into the tube, creating horrible painful overload day. You should read it if you havent! Its one of the best...

Ooooh, this story gives me creepy feelings. It reminded me very much of "A Brave New World", which I thought was fantastic. The idea of brainwashing makes a lot of sense when applied to the Irkens...and I love the depth you've given to Zim. Either extremely well-programmed, or extremely stubborn, hm? Seems to me Zim is both. And the Tallest being barely older than Zim...I thought that was incredibly cool.

So cool, so cool... I can't wait for when and if you add to this.
