Having read the rules series backwards(or what i assume to be backwards... Don't really know for sure) I will post my take on all of it here...

I love the couch... River's rules are my favorite, mostly because I've got ym own bumbling ape that sometimes need reminding that the couch ain't comfy to sleep on. Meh, he means well...

Simons rules make me shake my head... He just doens't get it sometimes...

Captain and Inara's rules are shiny...

but, i didn't see Zoe's... and that makes me sad.

I liked Jayne's repeated insistance on avoiding crazy people, and then last line about his wife. Seems he doesn't follow his own advice. Also I'm sensing some bad feeligns towards Mal (and Inara to a lesser extent) after all the Captain references. Very good idea about not letting on how smart you are or how much you know though. Nicely done

This is so Jayne! I guess I read these the wrong way round (River's first) but I really hope you intend doing the rest of the crew. At least to some degree. You know, it could be fun if these turned up in a story, where maybe River and Jayne are threatened, and rules 17, 18 and 19 have to come into play and are mentioned ...

I read River's Rules first. I have to say I liked these a little more. Some good sense in them. The first one definitely set the tone for the rest. I hope to read a story from you, because you seem to have the voices of these characters down very well.
