The ending of this story never fails to make me laugh. Raoul is the best, isn't he?

Oh wow, that was very funny. I actually laughed out loud when Alanna said something about it being her birthday, and Raoul said "quite right." I love the fact that Alanna was standing on a chair and then after saying a bunch of things that didn't make sense, she knew that it wouldn't have worked with Jonathan. Very lovely and humorous, as well as insightful. Nice work. ^^

This was EXCELLENT! It was in character (for all of them) and well-written. I loved Raoul's response to Jon about Delia (genius), and referring to him as a "man-creature". He and Alanna's quick rapport was established well and felt very real. Her thoughts on being queen, while somewhat depressing were all very true. It was nice to have her really analyze what it would have been like, and not just daydream about Jon because really, the way you put it was quite true: they loved each other, but they were not in love. I also loved dirty George in the end. Lovely!

Oh this is both lovely and hilarious. And also so in keeping with the characters as they appear in the book. Flawless!
