In this world today, there aren't many people that are willing or able to express their feelings much less as eloquently as you did. I love these in-depth psyche evaluations of Eva characters. They're so ing deep, it's awesome. So anyway...yes, this is definetly my new favorite quote"What had happened to unconditional love, and what had he, Shinji, done to be undeserving of it?" The emotion poured into this fic is at that beatifully comprehendable level just to those who are deep enough themselves that they can bring themselves to try to actually comprehend just that very beauty. (well aren't I just full of overly-used adjectives today?). I'm putting waaaaaay too much effort into this right now considering how tired I am...oh dear. Ok well, what I mean to say is this f0cking rocks! It's so nice to see fellow writers who can actually dig below the surface of these characters. So many people write Shinji x Asuka fics or, my personal pet peeve, Shinji x Rei fics, in which the characters are completely OOC, and yet the author is actually trying to create some kind of realism: it just doesn't work (especially in Shinji x Rei, being that she's practically his f0cking mother...). Now, I'm not saying that *all* those fics are bad, they just irritate me. Stuff like this, however, I sit and read and love and smile at. (this is so f0cking LONG! I so need sleep...must...wrap up...aieeee...) Well, with that, I say kudos to you, you so rule lol

I agree with your own self-analysis. Shinji is a bit too self-aware. 14 year old aren't so introspective. I think the feelings would be there, but his understand of them? I doubt he'd know what to make of them. But its great that you're taking your talents here to Evangelion. Someone else has some other comments, but I'll email hers to you.
