I love the way you've set up everything - especially that you've apparently deemed Itachi as a good person and not a pshycotic mass murderer - and it works out wonderfully. I felt a small twinge of sympathy when I discovered that Sakura could not write and had little knowledge of reading; but then again, at least you hadn't made her an insanely paranoid deaf-mute. I can't help but wonder when you plan on revealing Sakura's name to Sasuke's family - that is, if you plan on her revealing it or the family somehow discovering it on their own, at all. I can appreciate you giving her a substitute name, even one that suited her, but knowing that her actual name fit her persona flawlessly kind of leaves me longing to read "Sakura walked silently down the stairs" or "Sakura shifted, embarassed" very much. But either way, as Ame or Sakura, you've kept her as close to character as possible in this kind of fic. You've done a wonderful with Sasuke too; not to mention how well done you've portrayed his family (especially his parents, but moreso Mikoto) despite the little information there is about them and their personalities. You're doing positively wonderfully here. I can't wait to see the next chapter. |
