Anyway...I see Shinji has taken up a new hobby besides listening to that damn SDat or playing Cello. Here's hoping that my theory that the Angels are Invid.

Yo 2008-06-07 ch 5, anon.	abuseAh, Shinji is definitely an example of 'the more things changes, the more they stay the same'. However, I wonder about the 'intent to kill' train of thought. Didn't the pilot clearly intend to kill everyone, clearly saying the words? I am not sure how being a hostage would work considering the differences to an Evangelion and the operation there of - at that point, it is clear the pilot was taken over by some kind of entity, unlike Toji, whose Evangelion was taken over and not him. I suppose Shinji's morality is that clear - he cannot kill 'humans'. Urk, I must have been seduced by fanfiction and the warping to a Shinji with very different morals. It is pretty fun to have an observer's view of the events that happen to Rick, and possibly Minmei. A few things I wonder about are: where are the thoughts about Rei? Clearly Shinji has some kind of attraction to Asuka, but did he not have a friendship with Rei? However about his friends Toji and Kensuke, who he would not forget if he did not forget Misato and Asuka?
Arashihawk 2008-06-07 ch 5,	abuseGood chapter. I like how you handled Shinji's fight with the Angel and his trying to save the pilot. I like how he has better support mechanism to try and deal with the repurcussions of the Angel attacks, then he had in Tokyo-3. Since Shinji just made Sgt, will he be getting a squad command soon. Also, will NERV get any indication that the Angel has been eliminated. Any way, looking forward to the next chapter.
Unknown 2008-06-07 ch 5, anon.	abuseNice, Rick's first appearance and he throws up on Shinji's shoes. It's become obvious that Kim has started to to build an attraction to Shinji, or will eventually, but is there gonna be anyone else? I've always found love triangles to be rather amusing if they're done properly, plus it could give Shinji some much need confidence.
LordCoake 2008-06-07 ch 5, anon.	abuseUgh. Minmei. Interesting way to bring in Rick. I wonder if he and Shinji will become friends, or rivals? Ought to be fun to read. You handled the Angel fight pretty well. Nicely done. Especially with Shinji's characteristic hesitation. I'm hoping, really hoping, that fighting the good fight against the Zentradi with people like Roy, Max Sterling, Ben Dixon and the others to look up to and fight beside, that Shinji does some much needed growing up and maturing. Also, I'm waiting to see how you blend the rest of the Evangelion cast in with this. Especially after the SDF-1 gets back to Earth. Seeing Asuka (and Rei?) sign up with the RDF as a Veritech pilot(s?) would be pure gold. That, and teaming Lisa and Misato up to sick on Gendo would be hilarity. Having those two working together would be scary!

SulliMike23 2008-06-04 ch 1,	abuseBTW, I seem to notice your interesting idea on Kim. But there's a slight problem with that. Shinji is 14/15 years old, and Kim is 23. Huge generation gap here. Unless you've made Kim younger or Shinji older this could pose a slight problem.

As a response to both the Veritech/EVA question, and Legato: Myself, I'd say the Valkyries Lasers and Gatling Cannon wouldn't scratch an AT Field. Reason being that those two weapons are human ones, just using more advanced materials to make them more viable as a fighter weapon. Those weapons are in fact not "Reflex Weaponry". The only weapons of that type a Veritech can carry are it's missiles. Which, if it had been written that way would probably be the reason most Veritech pilots in the Anime, Games and RPG rely on them for the real knockdown power, leaving the cannon for close-in wetwork and the lasers for pinpoint strikes and a last-ditch weapon when the missile hardpoints are empty and the cannon is dry. But, as is, it's still okay. Maybe the UEG alloys the same material the Lance of Longinus is made of into it's cannon shells for the Valk. Be a good enough excuse. I'd say the nose lasers are screwed though.
Endermon 2008-05-25 ch 4,	abuseImpressive, very impressive. I recently re-watched The American take of SDF-Macross (Robotech macross saga), and hadn't expected to find this amongst the Eva section of the site. Previous attempts of this by other authors have either been poor, or possessed moderately outlandish takes on characters. I'll be watching this, it's good work.
