I loved how they really DO love each other, and how he admires her, and she called him the victor, and 'Anna' was the nickname, and the Dark Lord actually LOVED Bella, and their admiration for Severus. Lovely job, this was fantastic!
Jobey in Error 2008-07-16 ch 1,	abuseINIGA IS BACK! This has been the mantra inside my head for the past twenty four hours. Selfishly, I have been reading... and reading... and re-reading... and re-reading... and not yet reviewing, and it most of it will have to wait till tomorrow anyhow, because I really want to finish rereading Intermin before my break is over. (It's more amusing than ever.) As for this, I'm not so sure how well it stands alone. I would not have found it very interesting if I hadn't read Goblin-Snitch-Werewolf (did I get those in the right order?) Even as it is, it's only a fraction as good as GSW (more on that tomorrow). But it would have been hard not to give any fic a chance that had the beautiful line: "Narcissa had learned a bit about perfect breasts by possessing a pair of her own." Ha! I feel like that line has been a decade in the collective writing of the fandom. Your post-DH version of events is much more plausible than both. Cheers! And thank you so much for coming back. ;-)

Pansy Potter 2008-07-04 ch 1,	abuseYou raised an issue in this fic that I had never really thought about before, the fact that Voldemort did seem more attached to Bellatrix than to anyone else. I'm not sure exactly what you like to write, or if you would even consider it, but i really enjoy reading your fics and i think maybe you should consider something from the tom riddle era. The whole Dumbledore/Grindelwald and Dumbledore's interaction with Riddle is fascinating and very rarely written about. I would do it myself, but i can't really bear to, my writing is terrible :P

Jedi Buttercup 2008-06-08 ch 1,	abuseI knew from the first HP book that the Malfoys were never going to be "good" people, despite how much fandom seemed to like painting them as merely misunderstood. But at the same time, I never liked how one-dimensional their portrayal was in the text, either; they're human beings, just as much as Harry and his friends, and no one ever deliberately goes about their lives deliberately intending to be evil (except maybe Voldemort). They have their own reasons for doing things, even if those reasons might be repulsive ones, and their own brilliant qualities and loves and worries and so on. One of the few things I was glad of in the last two books, especially DH, was the humanising of some of the previously all-black characters, and this story was a good example of that as well. In summary, I teared up when I read this story, and smiled. I may not like what the Malfoys stood for, but I love this picture of their family life, all the same.

Their speech is natural and perfectly normal, Narcissa's thoughts and feelings well rationalised and tangible. The simplicity of your story does it credit - you don't need to hide behind an overly complicated plot to express your characters' deep affection for each other. I love the relationship between Lucius and Narcissa, and their sense of realism about what is now practical, and their calculation about how to get on now that everything they believed in is gone (and Draco's too). The underlying weariness was very good too, adn the characterisationw ith the flashes of anger - for example against Molly - spot on. Favouriting and adding you other fics tp my (ever growing!)"to-read" list.

I like how you describe the transition from the complicated and extravagant lifestyle of before the war to the simplier lifestyle after the war and how it was both painful, but fine at the same time. Your description of those goblets as well were incredibly believable - if I hadn't have known that this was a ff, then something like that I could believe would exist in the books themselves.
