You never really learn much about Valerie, just that she was willing to go so far as to shoot someone (in the arm, but still) with no reason and convict someone she knew was innocent with her testimony... and yet still feel bad enough that it haunted her for 5 years. She's an interesting case, and you wrote a nice little story here for her.

Yeah, that's right ... nobody really pays attention to the Hawthornes. But you did a really good job on this oneshot! Congrats on writing about Valerie ... and capturing Dahlia well.
