The concept of having Sean and Alex as twins with Tracker as their father adds a twist that is very unique, although the element of surprise is somewhat lost by chapter one. It would have been more interesting to have the first chapter as a prologue with Emily and Tracker (as Christopher so his name isn't revealed until quite yet). It would add somewhat to the surprise of the story, and keep some things from being revealed. Or even show Emily leaving Sean on the front steps of Tracker's house. To add to the effect, don't even mention it as a flashback; simply have it in italics so it is apparent that it is not part of the normal flow of the story. |
