 mscope 2009-01-08 . chapter 1oh, another snippit!
I was sitting in 7th grade English when the announcement came over the PA. Our principle announced all walkers were released from school immediately and school buses were on the way to pick up the riders. The teacher was standing at the blackboard and before he could say anything the principal locked the pa open and the radio announcer came on and said that President Kennedy had been shot. Thirty two 12 year olds became silent at once. The teacher sat down and we listened. We walkers did not leave immediately, one by one over the course of the next hour or so we got up and left. We heard the church bells peal, the rail depot whistle and the paper company whistle in the distance and then silence. Silence enveloped our corner of the world and stayed with us for days. Yes it is true everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing the day President Kennedy was shot.
Well that was not the purpose of the story now was it ... I can only imagine how much fun it would have been for Edward to have the opportunity to interact with a large family and do so by playing a contact sport. Now I am really getting excited to read "Blue Moon Over Manka's"!

-shudders to prove her point- |
Mizra 2008-05-18 . chapter 1I've been reading all your "expanded snippets" from Blue Moon Over Manka's and I love each and every one of them. They are cute and the one with Jack Kennedy here was a nice touch. You do your research well; I can tell.
Also, have you considered doing a set of period pieces, reflecting maybe each of the Cullens during a specific moment in history (during wars, Hollywood events, major announcements, etc.)? I've been toying around with how the Cullens may have remembered 9/11. I remember everything distinctly about that day from what I was doing to who I spoke with. My parents were in Maryland and I was so afraid something would happen up there. So close to the Pentagon. Too close for my liking. |
AutumnRhythm 2008-03-26 . chapter 1I wonder what JFK would have done had he met Rosalie...?
Great job! |
Scarlett71177 2008-03-06 . chapter 1Love the mingling of my favorite vampire family with real history! You can tell you've done your homework and created another fascinating point of view here.
I look forward to reading the multi-chaptered fic.
Well done!
