Loved it. Kinda reminded me of the Uglies, Pretties, Specials trilogy (and then an extra called Extra) by Scott Westerfeld. Loved the whole techno theme. It was really detailed and the idea was pretty impressive. All those technical terms and ideas sounded really good. I wouldn't have a clue if they actually were true/real (the science ideas I mean) but I couldn't care less. It's one of those "it sounds so real it must be" type of thing. Although, maybe you could've made it into separate chapters instead of a one-shot so you could've expanded it a little more, adding a longer storyline. At times, it felt as if the flow was a bit jittery and I thought that some of the ideas ended too abruptly. Overall, great job.

You have an incredible writing style and I hope that you write more than just fanfiction. It's really inspiring to know that a fellow high school-er is writing so well.
