aaabbbey 2008-02-25 ch 1,	abuseThanks for putting this up. This was one of the first stories I read in fandom way back when, and it really impacted my Janeway portrayals. I especially love how the beginning and the end are bookended with the throwing of the plate--it gives it such a rhythm and it's such a strong image for the over all theme. And your Janeway is so believable, so compelling--Gretchen's observation that she got back a stranger but sent one out too is particularly hard-hitting. And I love how you portray Gretchen and Edward's marriage. I don't know if you're writing any more, but I could really stand to read more stories like this.
