Reviews for Soldier
Honor Reid 12/16/12 . chapter 1
Very nicely done. I liked this as a way Sam could work with the Autobots much better then how he ended up not working with them at all at the beginning of the third movie. Thanks! :D

I did track this story down after several years past since reading it last. I was disappointed in the fact that they didn't take Sam's character through at least a more pronounced roll with the Military and Autobots. For me it left something open.

Awesome fic, liked the AU quality of it ver well done I thought! The shock from the military officer and that reveal speech were fv scenes, especially when they all moved back just that 1 step :P

excellent character usage and interaction between them all!

Awsome, and Ness
Captain Lupin Ferus 8/8/11 . chapter 1
I definitely liked this and although I'm not entirely familiar with some of the army's training protocols (I'm Marine, so we have it different, obviously), some of it was familiar and spot on in places I completely recognized. Very well done, well paced, and I think if the movies could have gone in a different direction, this could've been one of them, making Sam less spazzy, more disciplined. x3 Definitely going on my faves list, I liked this plenty. 3

Sam the soldier, don't see it often enough :3
RamenKnight 7/7/11 . chapter 1
You know, this seems a more logical path for plot than what they did in the movies. I mean, ditch the guy who has best relations the bots, ditching of bumblebee when going to collage, ect ect.
Lalaith Quetzalli 3/26/11 . chapter 1
Wow...

And I mean wow...

Really not what I had imagined when I began this fic.

It's awesome!

I really, really liked this fic!

Wish you had continued it.

I came across one of your Transformers stories last week, and I've been going through and reading the rest of them. I'm not much of a reviewer anymore, to my shame, but I really wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying them. :D I love them all so far, but I picked this one in particular to comment on because I was amused that you had used Ft. Leonard Wood as the base. That was where I had gone to Basic Training. XD Good old Ft. Lost in the woods...

Well, take care and hope to keep reading more from you!

Awesome.
White-Tigers-of-Darkness 10/13/10 . chapter 1
Great work. The moment I first saw the first transformer movie, all I could think was Sam was going to join the military. There really is no choice considering all the stuff that has happened in the two movies. Your description of boot camp was wonderful too. It sent me right back to my own session about a year ago. Ahhh, the memories. Admittedly, I am not American, so it wasn't called boot camp, but all the same, it was four months of torture with no cars and almost no news of the outside world so I can really sympathise with Sam on that one.
Kiwee 6/30/10 . chapter 1
I like the prepared and ready-to-go world. Sooner or later, the attack is going to come, and everyone here is more ready for it than if they just tried to "make the most" of their peace. Sam, this more mature one, is awesome, as is Bumblebee.
DarkBeta 6/7/10 . chapter 1
Excellent story about the results of Sam's choices. I do like characters who think and plan . . . . Not *plot* (necessarily), but put the thought into their future that any ordinarily rational human would when faced by a sea-change.

Hanging with Autobots daily track-and-field marathon. Never thought of it like that before.

"Giant transforming alien robots were such an ingrained part of his existence now that it was hard to remember what it had been like before." And then the Decepticons make them part of everyone's existence. What's forgotten may stay that way, but what's secret won't. And Sam makes a remarkably inspirational speaker.

Love the idea of Sam (*and* Mikaela) being accepted as part of the Autobot team, as equals and not hangers-on.

Gratefully,

THis is so awesome I don't have words for it, except a deep desire for more. I love your characterization of Sam, Lennox, everyone.

Incidentally, that deep desire for more includes filler stories set during this fic as well as afterward (and if you've already written 'em, sorry...I haven't gone through your fic list yet.) You are a truly amazing author though. Your ability with pacing and characterization is just astonishing, especially considering how ... abreviated? this fic is, regarding the passage of time.

Really, really a great read. I wish let me sort my faves into categories, because I'd love to place this into the "example of how to do everything right" category.
