This was so bittersweet, but really beautiful. I liked the way you strung together the different moments. I think my favorite one was the first, with Sam finding out he couldn't go to law school, and Dean keeping the letter.

Very good little chunks of that kind of thing. Enjoyable.

I think the biggest mistake Kripke made with this show was killing Sam because the extent of their tragedy just becomes worse and worse each year.

Those poor boys...

You've once again captured such poignant moments of the first couple of years. My heart aches for the brothers and how they continually twist and try to readjust themselves to the disappoints and fears that consume their old selves.

My favorite line is when Dean tries to assure Sam that John was afraid FOR Sam, not OF Sam.
And Sam's wish to just be safe tugged a heartstring tonight as did the interaction between John and Dean. Sam gets coined as being like John a lot, but there is a lot of the man in his firstborn as well.

Again, another wonderfully rich story.
