Also this is a rather juvenile take on romance. Real people date explore their options before settling on someone. I hate that fanfiction has the mentality that Naruto can only date/have sex with his one true love. You'd think everyone on was a Born-Again Christian opposed to premarital sex or something.

Then again this is a major flaw common to almost all stories in the fandom... so a minor complaint.

Ugh...That was way too sappy. I don't think I have to clarify what I'm talking about. Not everything has to have a label on it and some things are better left unsaid.

I'm really starting to dislike your Sakura. Over-bearing, nosy, agressive, jealous, we haven't seen a lot of good qualities yet.

Another thing I don't really get is why you have characters casting doubt on Naruto's mental facilities (Tsunade and Sakura in the Hokage office) when what little we have seen of him shows our lad to be more capable than canon!Naruto.

I'd have loved to have seen the NarutoxIno thing, rather than been told about it.

Opposite all this I have to say that I like your style of writing, things are rather slow, but you've already said things will speed up in later chapters, so that's not a problem. I got some feel on what's going on, which is always important.

I'm going to read on and leave a final review when I get to the current end or when I throw in the towel.

I mainly dont review, both because I am enjoying it and that I just feel awkward reviewing a chapter when there is still more to read, but the other stories I read mainly have reviews because they have large numbers of fans from other finished stories they wrote. But this fic is very good, and I thank you for writing it.

I have to say that this is an absolutely wonderful story possibly one of my favourites on ff.n. The characterisation is spot on and there's a great balance between plot and fluffy stuff. I really like your use of minor characters like Hanabi and the re-instated ANBU team and your 'bloodline' for the Uzumaki clan is one I've not seen before and thankfully doesn't create a superpowered Naruto or anything. Also, Kushina is absolutely awesome.

I really hope you continue with this I'll be looking forward to it.

this is a very good story and i would love to adopt the idea and start it for myself...a fanfic of a fanfic if a label need be given...im sad to see that it hasnt been continued for over a year. and im sure im not the only one who has wished to adopt it. but the idea in it self...is calling me to write about it, not necessarily the same story but one that has the same idea of reviving the whirlpool village

I was following this story about a year ago, but things happened and I lost track.

Now I've reread this, and I must say, it's a shame you haven't updated it for so long.
The story is overall a good balance between agnst, drama, humor and action. Most everyone seems to be in character. Naruto on the surface hasn't seemed to have matured much, but I mean that in the best possible way. I'm curious to see what direction you'll go with Itachi, I really like his role in this one.
Also, I'm quite amused by Natsumi's antics; the added bit of humor implying she was bi was certainly a fresh take on rival girls in a harem plot (yes, I know this won't be one, but still).
I sincerely hope you find time to update this soon, as I have enjoyed this fic and would very much like to see more.

Huh. Interesting. This fic seems to be even better-written than my own efforts. If the first chapter is anything to go on, I'll gladly be spending the next few days going over this. I'll give a more in-depth review later on.

Nice fleshed out story. But Naruto is acting a bit too OOC. Not freaking out about Itachi, or bieng rather calm with Sasuke, or working with Sound nin. So much would count as betraying the village.
