Um... this is a good story, I like it - a good take on the whole thing. But it's "Colonel" nor "Kernel", lol! "Kernel" is, like... corn kernels or something, I think. "Colonel" is the military ranking.

But besides that... good story

Wah! Sad... I haven't teared up over any character dying ever like I did with Maes, and here you go bringing it all back up so well...

ah, i really liked that guy. i hated it when they took him out of the show. that was a really good fic, sad, but good.

i still liked it because, i guess, if i somehow was there, even though it isn't possible, i might react the same way about hughes because frankly he was one of my favorite characters in the series...he was always so happy and annoying and just all around fun to be around...or at least that is what i interpreted from the way his character was in the manga and the anime...so yeah, i like this a lot...and yes i can see the microscopic bit of roy-riza there, it was very, very subtle

Great job, by the way! When this happened in the show, I cried I think. He was my favorite character and I was so sad..it was horrible!
