Wow this is such a great fic. I love Ran/Nanao friendship fics and it's an extra bonus for me that you've tied it to "The Stage" and to include Byaran!! :D My OTP!

You've done great justice to Nanao and I like how you reveal lots of her characteristics considering what little we know of her as yet. Her relationship with Shunsui is part sweet/humourous and I love the parallels of the opposite pairings in your fic.

Oh, my god, I had no idea this was even here! I was actually looking for Rangiku/Nanao fic as inspiration for a story I'm writing for my friend when I stumbled across this XD

I really enjoyed this. I think you got a good handle on Nanao's character, and it was really good to see an exploration of the friendship between her and Rangiku. The comparison between Ran/Bya and Shunsui/Nanao and how both men are nobles was interesting as well.

And, of course, OTP~ OTP~ Ran/Bya forever XD

A really lovely, original story, though I agree that your summary doesn't do it justice. I hope you continue writing Rangiku/Nanao friendship fics, and perhaps maybe a tiny little story about Shunsui winding up in a bed next to Nanao's after the Arrancar war? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

Gorgeous chapter! The part from byakuya's POV was extremely well-written and ran quite smoothly from Nanao's POV. Again, the little details scattered throughout added so much to the story; it gives it personality, if you will. Though this piece is wonderful as a whole, I really think that it's your attention to small (even seemingly insignificant) detail is what really makes it. Tiny snippets such as the 8th division's tendancy to not obey orders unless it suited them, or Nanao being Renji's and Rukia's senpai made me smile and cast my imagination off to do a little "what if?" thinking.

I hope you keep up the writing; I am certainly looking forward to reading more from you (especially if it involves our beloved eighth division).

A good story so far. The little snippets alluding to past events (the war, Rangiku's numb side, Nanao's injury etc) are a lovely touch which make me want to read more to find out what happened. You integrated those details well, giving just enough information to interest the reader, and its clear that your story is well thought out. So far your portrayal of Nanao is very good and you've really captured her character. The same goes for Rangiku.
The only critique I can make is that your summary does not really do justice to your story. Perhaps mention that it is a Ran/Nan friendship fic, or at least mention Rangiku's name in summary.
Other than that, lovely story. Keep up the writing.

While Byakuya is a captain I have no doubt that Nanao can make him suffer.

Wow, this story is awesome so far! I'm so intrigued...(hey, btw, think you could a side fic? I am DYING of curiosity. What did Shunsui do? Nanao x Shunsui is the best! Not that Bya x Ran isnt totally awesome...Anyway, enough ranting, I need to get out of these brackets).
