That was just so deep and in completely in touch with the ninja world. I loved the outside commentary, and it kinda reminded of Tobi/Madara for some reason. Either way, it meshed really well with the story.

I think the rambling isn't a bad thing here because it shows Itachi's mental state right now. Obviously, he's a little shellshocked and confused because he's a child and he's just killed someone, well, a lot of someones. And even though he's been trained to be emotionless, he still feels for what he did. And it becomes eerie when he keeps thinking of Shisui and at the end when Shisui asks Itachi about why would he ever need to kill his best friend. It all becomes a very omnious kind of foreshadowing. And the music box I think is a symbol of not just Itachi's childhood and innocence going up in smoke but his sanity as well. Awesome story.
