I read this awhile ago, but lazily did not review. I just reread through this, and was once again struck with how amazingly in character and hilarious this is. I love Barney in this and Robin is equally charming, and I totally agree that Let's Go to the Mall is an amazing song (although Sandcastles in the Sun is very much up there as well, because James Vanderbeek, OMG LOLZ!). Anyway, just loved the subtle hint of shippiness and humor. Perfectly parallel with the showverse. She's a Star, you are officially the greatest writer on fanfiction EVER. Profound? Yes. Necessary? Double yes.
