The ending just begs for a sequel. You know, if you DO decide to do such a thing (mad propz for you for this anyway), find a person with some networking expertise (or one who has played Uplink :D) to co-op write it with you. It would be so much more believable, with IP adress trackinig, log tracing, proxy jumping and firewalls with all the **, that would be loads of fun to write, and to read :]

anyhow, good story. Had to agree with you about the end though. if that's the way you wanted it to end why not with a phone call from kakashi himself? like right after the line 'Shikamaru rolled his eyes, “I check it almost every day. Today’s just one of the few days I forgot.”' have his phone ring. shika could go "what's up?" and kakashi would be like "How much do you know about a corporation called Akatsuki?

Ho damn! I'm seriously diggin this story. The use of leet speak in the second chapter had me laughing so hard. I'm lovin the plot. I haven't read anything quite like this before. It's amazing. Ho crap. I can't wait to see how this plays out and who comes out on top. I was surprised when Naruto called Sasuke after the little 'interrogation', which was great by the way, and then when it was revealed he was working for the group as a double agent? I was left in a state of 'uh...' for ten seconds then laughing because it took me so damn long. I can't wait to see who's got the best of who. Docious story. Seriously.

Who's Naruto really working for? Kakashi? Sasuke? Someone else? Or perhaps himself?

Man, major twist! I don't remember if there were any little hints leading up to something like this but I was just staring at the screen for a few seconds going "NANI?!"
