Well written and believable characterization of Rukia.

Hmm. It's good but, how would she believe in god? In a way she is one of the gods. She may be a Death God, but that's where they believe they will go. That's why in the beginning when Ichigo first meets her and she frees the spirit to go to the soul society. Like in death note. They believe there is no heaven or hell only the shinigami realm. That's why in Q-Town and other places Death Note and Bleach aren't allowed to be in the library.

Great piece of work you have here. The wording was great and you captured many emotions. Also, you caught Rukia's character and explained her guilt very well.

That was so beautiful and so very sad! I really feel sorry for Rukia sometimes, she's so lost and lonely. I especially loved the last line- "And so she prayed to a god she had never really believed in; entreated with all her heart to keep all of them safe"

I think that you captured the essence of Rukia. She does feel guilty. And I think that you are right about her not thinking that her life mattered to someone.

That was one of the best fics I ever read! You brought out Rukia's pain so beautifully, so naturally, that I felt like I was in her place, experiencing everything she felt. Thank you for writing this masterpiece. It made my day.
