Graciella Bellanotte-Diadoro 2008-11-15 . chapter 1I admit that I've often thought of Hufflepuff as something of a junk drawer, where you put odds and ends that don't fit anywhere else. They're the plodders. Like the tortoise. He ultimately wins the race, but does anyone envy him?
Cedric would have been the clear winner under equal circumstances. Moody/Crouch, Jr. admitted to clearing Harry's path of obstacles in the maze, and he helped Harry with the first two tasks, also. (I've always wondered how hard it would have been to find the Bubble-Head Charm. Especially for Hermione.)
I really enjoyed reading a tribute to the Hufflepuffs. Cedric was smart and brave, which made him a credit to his House. But all Voldemort saw was a "spare." Well, he probably sees everyone as a spare . . . |
