Joc 11/21/01 . chapter 1 wow. ok, i'm jewish, so i never technically went to church, and synogogue is mostly just prayers in Hebrew, and the sermons (in mine anyway) are mostly about things that happen in life, but still. This is a great piece of writing, and truly shows the hypocrisy (sp?) of religion, that people just think they can do almost anything and go to church and whatever, and that makes them good religious people. keep writing. |
SweetSinger 11/20/01 . chapter 1 Awww! It was good! you ahve talent! And you're right. Being a hypocrite is horrible. But you can accept Jesus in thirty minutes. God can make it possible. but for the sake of you're well written story, I agree with you about being a hypocrite |
Stefanie 10/3/01 . chapter 1 The church is a meeting place, you don't have to take it THAT seriously. Besides, you act like it's a dirty secret you "discovered" when millions of people feel exactly like you do. If you don't like it then don't go, it's as simple as that .Church experience is different for everyone. Try going to Church when it's empty, I did that and it was a cool experience. *frown* your story really got to me, you sound sorta preachy. |
Werecat99 9/27/01 . chapter 1I liked it. Well written and very, very true. |
Flannery 9/25/01 . chapter 1 Profound and well-written. Despite whatever your aims may be, as someone who, like you, was raised having to follow this 'ritual', I can certainly relate, and I am sure many others will be able to as well. Keep up the good work. |
unknown poster 9/24/01 . chapter 1 the accepting Christ after a 30 minute talk... well... the talk can be much shorter than that, actually. it's a spirit thing... that urging inside that it's right. it goes beyond all rational thought. of course many people accept Christ and go back on it or go on as if they didn't, but that's a discipleship matter. |
Finn Mac Cool 9/21/01 . chapter 1 I can't tell if you're pro-church or anti-church yet, these may be your real thoughts, or what some would call thoughts of the sinner. I'll wait to see what happens to Jan, but I'll be dissapointed if there is any repentence on her part. |
