Favourite. There aren't enough fics that respect that James is the love of Lily's life and they are perfect, but still dabble in the what-could-have-been with Sev.

I tried so hard to stop it, but this ship is my favourite, I think. Severus deserved so much more than he got, and I can never read DH, or any of the books, without feeling my heart go out to him and his struggle. All for the love of a girl who just didn't understand.

I love how you've writen this because it makes sense. I can see Lily and James sitting together, being in love, but somewhere in the back of her mind, she thinks of a boy so imperfect who she cant help but remember with a different sort of love than that which she feels for James.

I've written you an essay of a review here, but I always get carried away when Severus is concerned. A nicely written, poetic and thoughtful piece, which I thoroughly enjoyed!

I loved it. I love this like the most though:

Fluffy, but I love the bittersweet tone. Well-written and simply lovely. I really like the line used in the summary; it's almost like a song lyric itself.

There's nothing like a good drabble to get you through the morning. That was wonderful. Good job. :)

A wistful, melancholy piece. I like the sheer gentleness of the Lily-James thing here, but also the regretful tone of the last line which ties it all together. But, yeah, nothing more than a drabble. A captured moment in time of the pairing and it's nice because it's a serious moment caught. Otherwise, kinda boring. The revelation at the end wasn't earth shattering, for instance...the whole thing ran together nicely, I guess.

Absolutely fluffy and pointless.

But it made me smile, nevertheless. :D
