USAFChief 4/10/13 . chapter 76Good stuff. |
Luke 4/7/13 . chapter 77 Wow, you do such an excellent job with all of your characters; this is (to me) the way Firefly should have continued. I am thrilled with the recent character development in River as she starts to master herself, and it is nice to see that she's not invincible. I know Rashid said his style incorporated Krav Maga, but are you familiar with Jeet Kun Do? Because his fighting seems very similiar to Bruce Lee's philosophy of fighting. Finally, very well done with writing Rashid! You did it in such a way that I realized what he was (at least to some extent) before we got to the end of the chapter. |
Vergil1989 the Crossover King 4/7/13 . chapter 10You've made me laugh, you've made me want to shout and cry with an equal mix of rage and sorrow, and you managed this in only the first few chapters. I cheered quite loudly when those bastards Hands finally got theirs and then you turn around and shoot Inara. I don't believe I've ever experienced so many conflicting emotions before from any fanfiction I've read until now. You've done Firefly and Serenity quite proud and I hope that the rest of this one is just as good. |
jjmjmay 4/1/13 . chapter 12Wow just finished this 1st episode. That was great, dark but great. I'll interpret that it was Jayne at the end. |
jjmjmay 4/1/13 . chapter 1Just started reading this story. Great start. |
Andrew Weitzman 3/12/13 . chapter 77 The best part of going downhill is that the snow had plenty of time to speed up for the avalanche that's hopefully about to hit certain deserving persons. Really enjoying this arc, Peptuck |
Wickedfetch 3/12/13 . chapter 77Great chapter, it's nice to see that River has weaknesses and to see her start to overcome them |
Kt 3/11/13 . chapter 5 Hi, I'm mostly new to Firefly fanfiction, but from what I've read so far you really seem to have nailed the characters. Although we're all keen on action, I also really enjoyed your 'slow' chapter of mostly character interaction (didn't even notice there wasn't much going on!) It also served to remind me how much I care for these characters, something I've noticed a lot of authors don't bother with. Kudos! Look forward to reading more when I have a spare moment. Thanks |
chabitso.0 3/4/13 . chapter 77enjoyed this chapter.:] |
Irishbrneyes 3/4/13 . chapter 77What can I say? Bravo! Yet another marvelous chapter to an epic story. I am in awe every time I read this story. I agree with you 100% about "seeing" River eating sand over and over again, and to be out done by an elderly man, too. Priceless! It reminds me of a certain Merc being handed his nuts by a 90lb girl. Your villain in this arc needs to die, painfully, at the end of this story. That's how well you've done. I would gladly taze him myself for the pleasure of hearing him scream. Is that bad of me? I am waiting with baited breath for your next installment. Keep up the fantastic work your doing! I'm loving every little bit! ;-) |
Lyzzybelle 3/4/13 . chapter 77"She could kill a whole army with a teacup." - love the Riddick reference there lol. It was a stroke of genius having River finally face someone who challenged her over and over. I love that Rashid wasn't someone she could lose to once and annihalate on the second pass. It was good that you had her learn a little about embarrassment and pride. I also love that she is becoming even more self-aware and is beginning to question her process - e.g how she flies like Wash, spoke like Badger, etc. You have progressed, not only the episode but the entire "season" with this chapter, which I think marks a huge turning point for River and the overall story. These are lessons that show River she is in control, not the weapon and will finally take her on the path to the person she will become. I noticed the hint of the boy she once knew, which, if I read you correctly, was a little foreshadowing. Is it wrong for me to hope that he will not interfer with a "Rayne" relationship. I really really hope you let it Rayne! |

Bookworm Gal 3/4/13 . chapter 77I agree. River getting beat continuously by an old man is hilarious. I definitely liked this chapter. We get to see her gain some control of herself and her battle mode. And we get to see her resisting her captors. Both aspects are very important. I look forward to more soon. |
Zakeraz 3/2/13 . chapter 52Oh, yes it is obvious. We know who you ship. |
PenguinOfTroy 2/16/13 . chapter 76This is outrageously awesome. Can't state that enough. I'm really looking forward to this story arc, but most of all I'm eagerly awaiting the point where we (hopefully) see the whole crew back together. I love these more individual character studies but when all the characters are there to play off each other it reaches another level. |
