InosBane, good work on this story. As always, Kankurou was great, and Gaara was sweet. Nice to know that he found a new friend too.

I liked the idea of Gaara's pile of presents and their contents, and Kashike catching Gaara's eye; you're right, she'd be one of the most apt friends to gain approval and acknowledgement from. Your words were also very beautifully phrased.

I found this process of friendship too quick, possibly because I didn't get the impression that Kashike got over her nervousness around Gaara. Granted, they did have a nice chat in the playground, but I'd have liked to know how she felt, or her transitionary emotions at that point. How did she come to terms with accepting Gaara before Raiden's appearance? How did she manage to pull of reminiscing so freely about their childhood? This story left some unanswered doubts in my mind.

Whoa, that Raiden guy looked for what he got..and what he's gonna get from Kankurou. Those things he said were so horrible - even I was enraged. Great job! Ended on a nice, strong, humorous note. I am so glad Raiden's not gonna be a shinobi anymore - he does not deserve it. I'm also glad that you just made them friends, it's much more realistic that way. And the translations really helped. Well, you did a bang up job with this one! Wonder who you'll write about next...

Someone's following them? Who? Why? Now I really want to read the next chapter! For a minute there, this seemed like the end - it ended on such a nice, calm note - then the stalker appeared! (yes, i know the person's not a 'stalker' per se). The other thing I want to know, what is in those bxes? lol. Wish I got to open them...or at least read the pieces of paper.

This was both funny and cute. I loved all the descriptions of the gifts and their reactions to them and that Yukio boy seems like he'll be a troublemaker (and so be featured quite a lot in the story). I like it - t'was really quite interesting and you did a great job w/your way of getting them together. I'm loving this story - it's entertaining and just serious enough.
My only nitpick is that you include a lot of japanese in your stories and a lot of times, I don't know what it means. You might want to include translations.

Anyway, this was actually a really funny chapter (although maybe it wasn't supposed to be - I have a weird sense of humour). I like how you showed different people's perceptions of Gaara and I was really surprised at the abusive bf. Come on chica, you're a kunoichi - you can't be letting some guy beat you up. love the last line, yeah!

Oh dear, she really talks as though she is his mother. Her little request for grandchildren had me rolling on the floor - your Yoshino is so funny! I'm a little sad Yoshino hasn't got a bigger part in it but you caught my interest. Can't wait to see what happens next!
