I liked this, Mari.

I liked the sudden scene-changes. I think it makes for a good pace to the fic. I also like the way you portray Reeve, and how Yuffie thinks about the fact that the WRO has failed to restore Midgar. Great introspection. The last line was a great way to punctuate the ending.

The only thing that threw me was the odd dialogue punctuation. If you're going for different because of the fic's tone, I find that italics or just writing the dialogue as is, with no punctuation, works better. (I think it's called Free Direct Discourse, actually.) But that's just my personal preference. I like it despite that.

I like this. I like the style - it's sharp and stark, but despite all that there's a current of warmth between the characters. The jerkiness of the transitions takes a bit of getting used at first, but I think it does work.

Yuffie is lovely. I like the imagery of the sugary apples, and the way it ends with her note. Reeve... well, I know you portray Reeve with a cheeky side because of Cait Sith, but I don't see it myself. But whatever, I'll accept that your interpretation is different to mine. XD

No teary eyes from me, I'm afraid - what can I say, I'm just cold, I guess. No fanfiction has ever gotten me to tear up. So that's not to say you didn't do the tragedy well. It is a very strong ending. Well done. :)

Well, I'm certainly glad it wasn't completely romantic and she-loves-him and he-loves-her and aw-don't-we-just-love-each-other.

That said, this was a well-written story with some good thought put into it. It works on a lot of levels, anywhere from "she's an entertaining coworker" to "they're married and have three hundred babies."

THAT'S SO SAD! Wonderful story, but it's so SAD!

I'm on the verge of tears...really. That was so depressing but beautiful none the less. Still, I'm stifling a cry. That was a good pick me up XD
