Dream's Abyss 2009-01-19 . chapter 24This started to drag a bit in the middle, but I'm glad I stuck through it. |
Florida Alicat 2008-12-27 . chapter 24Again WOW! Amazing job on this one too. |
Meirelle 2008-09-30 . chapter 24Whoa. I thought they were gonna kill 'Jack, for sure. I'm glad they decided not to. |
Gandalf the Beige 2008-09-23 . chapter 24I don't know about anyone else, but the automatic decision to adopt the child out almost as soon as it's... as she's born just rubs me the wrong way. And the insistance on a "good christian family"... it just sounds like one of those situations where it comes back to bite you in the ass. It's like you always expect these people to be abusive creeps under a squeaky clean surface (as upposed to Dinah's aunt and uncle, who were good people under a fair layer of brainwashing). In 18 years, she'll probably come to find her mother, go find Miles and Percy, knee Miles right in the goolies and attempt to kick in Percys spark casing even after she's dangling in mid-air.
And Percy is still acting like the clinically detached douchebag he always apparently was. That doesn't mean I don't like the character on some strange level, but... still, it just bugs me. He's trying to understand attachment in the human species but he's still on this "most good for the most people with the least confusing-emotion-things" kick of his. |
DoodleWEE 2008-09-19 . chapter 24You are just on the highest level of EPICALLY AWESOME WIN as a writer/thinker, seriously. And, my goodness, I hope you do the line dance while you're way up there, because this fic certainly deserves a dance of some kind! And cookies. Lots and lots of cookies. And loving adoration/fanworship. That too.
Anyway, the way you wrapped up this story is absolutely phenomenal. Truly, all of it's phenomenal, but that goes without say at this point (If only "AWESOME" could equate "EVEN MORE AWESOME THAN PREVIOUSLY DESCRIBED" every time I used it, then maybe we'd get somewhere...). So, really, all I can say other than "HOLY COW, THE AWESOME ASPLODES TEH MINDSs!!" is that I think your handling of this last chapter was excellent. My god, you have no idea how greatly you've attached me to your Wheeljack and how much fear you struck into me with his uncertain fate. But then you brought everything back to a not-quite-but-extraordinarily-so happy place! I especially liked your reasoning behind the Autobot's incentive toward aiding Wheeljack. I never would have guessed the outcome of the Autobot's decision, but it was laced throughout the story from the very beginning! A damned good way to hone in a message, I must say.
Alright, so in conclusion--MUCH applause and explosive encoring go to you, m'dear! Thank you so much for sharing your wise thoughts and vast creativity. I definitely won't be the only fan waiting eagerly for the next installment of the Tricolor trilogy. :) |
MBlackwood 2008-09-17 . chapter 24 Oh, wow. Such a stunning ending! I can't tell you how happy I am that Wheeljack didn't die AND didn't get wiped into a drone state! When I read that, my insides did what Miles' did when Percy was sharing that awesome moment with him. Which, by the way, was one of the best descriptions of simple, undiluted joy I have ever read in all my years of reading. You have such a way with words, it makes me quiver.
When I read the chapter on Perceptor telling about Beachcomber in your Pantheon story, and I read the part where Miles skirts around saying outright what happened to Wheeljack, I was absolutely sure he was going to die. It seemed like a logical conclusion at the time, but, then, it was late and I was sleep-deprived when I read it. I may have picked up the wrong meaning. Anywho, the point of this digression is to thank you on so many levels for not killing Wheeljack, and for not killing Wheeljack, if you know what I mean. Just . . . thank you.
I'm looking forward to your next installment and I can assure you, I'll read your next piece with every bit as much enthusiasm as I have the Tricolora series.
Your faithful reader,

 Jason M. Lee 2008-09-13 . chapter 24You win. That's all I can say for this part. :) |
Carmilla DeWinter 2008-09-13 . chapter 24Great beginning quote. I'll also wipe some metaphorical sweat off, since Wheeljack seems to be granted a chance at therapy, foreign concept that it is to the bots.
Percy seems to have settled somewhat, and sounds like he is healing.
Anyways, thanks for another philosophical and action laden ride, and I can't wait for the third instalment. |
SkyHighFan 2008-09-13 . chapter 24I like this one. I'm glad you didn't kill off Wheeljack but found an alternative solution for that. Looks like Ceres has trully started to accept Percy into her life. Reminds me of her comment in chapter 19: "it looks like I have inadvertantly adopted a large metal child." Looks like she kinda has and is more accepting of his and Miles' brotherhood. I liked what Percy said about bonding to Miles turning out to be the best decsion he ever made despite it being the most unsure of one. |
tomorrow4eva 2008-09-13 . chapter 24Wow. First up, congrats on completing.
Glad to know Dinah was taken care of. Very happy that the Autobots have (a) realised what trauma is and (b) decided to do something about it - Wheeljack gets to live and as himself! And gets therapy. Which is really good.
I'm glad Percy and Miles are on good, stable terms, and that Miles and Sam have made up, and that Ceres is awesome enough to push for and provide long term solutions for the happiness of all.
The Eskimo mental image was funny.
I really enjoyed reading Perceptor's comments to Starscream, on his learning that he was going to have to find his own meaning in life, and to change. I believe that change and personal growth is essential to happiness and survival, so it resonates with me on a personal level.
I'm glad Perceptor has learned to let Starscream go. I'm sure he will never be truly happy about that, but relationships are two-way things, and I'm glad he has come to peace that he has done everything he could have for Starscream.
Thank you so much for writing this! I have really, really enjoyed reading it. It's nice to find a moving and deep story that pushes one to think a little bit more about everything. |
Lnzy1 2008-09-13 . chapter 24Yay! Oh yay, yay, yay! Wheeljack lives! *gives him big hug*
Poor hairless Miles and his silly hats. I wonder if he has a deer stalker. I can imagine him prowling around and Percy asking, "What are you doing?" and Miles says, "Stalking a deer, man!" lol. Ahem...uh, yeah. X3
This was the perfect chapter to wrap up this story! It was so cute how Percy kept rubbing Mile's head. lol. Make a wish Percy! =D
I cannot wait till the third installment. This story is just fantabulous! Everything I want/look for in a story! Great work and keep at it! I am addicted to your writings. |
Jinx 2008-09-13 . chapter 24 A wonderful, moving, thoughtful, intelligent story -- thank you for weaving such a wonderful tale! |
 Readasaur 2008-09-12 . chapter 24...DANGIT!
Dangit dangit dangit!
What'd you have to go and do that for?
I was quite happy not liking Perceptor or Wheeljack and then...
O!
This chapter!
This blasted infernal chapter makes my eyes brim with tears, my lip quiver and my stomach do flip-flops!
Now I love BOTH of them!
GAH!
Curse you and your infernally triumphant writing ability! > |
n.s.c.m. 2008-09-12 . chapter 24Congratulations on completing another outstanding fic! Good luck with the third part. |
MBlackwood 2008-09-10 . chapter 23 Dagnabbit. This story has me so worked up, I can barely think straight. Okay, first off, you're a phenomenally, mind-blowingly awesome writer, Miss Author. Secondly, I love the Wheeljack and Perceptor characters you've created for the Movieverse. Thirdly, if there was anything I could do right at this very second, I'd want to give Percy, Miles, and 'Jack a hug. They seem greatly in need of it. Or maybe I am? Who's to know?
Anyway, I really, truly, deeply wish Wheeljack didn't have to die, but it seems like such a foregone conclusion, it's pretty much insanity to not acknowledge that it's going to happen. Even more than that 'Jack wouldn't die, I hope that Prime doesn't decide to recondition him, despite Percy and Miles' protests. I agree with Miles' mom and Wheeljack: that seems entirely too cruel a fate to comprehend, much less live through.
In closing, this series has been marvelous so far, and I can only wait in breathless anticipation for this particular tale's conclusion and for the beginning of the end of the overall epic. Please update soon, but don't feel rushed on my behalf. I, being a writer myself, can easily empathize with the frustration of expectant readers yammering on about needing more chapters to read. :D
