Lysi Marie 5/22/08 . chapter 35All together now... Daaw! Willy is so adorable! I feel for Meagan, and am really beginning to hate Belinda. I hope you have fun on your vacation! And don't worry about updates, I'm sure the next few chapters are awesome and so worth the wait! Lysi Marie |
La Vik 5/20/08 . chapter 34I love how you come up with the most original plot twists in this story - I love how Bill is taking the wheel, he always seemed like an incredibly intelligent person. I was going to mention the male breast cancer thing last night, but I crashed before I could send my review through. I do like the passage after the edit for being more tactful, but the sentence doesn't roll off the tongue quite as easily. Just a personal thing, though, because I don't usually like keeping pronouns so far from their antecedents My heart had the flutters seeing how much Willy and Tamara have progressed as far as their feelings go. I love it - I like the fact that you have some romantic interaction outside of the factory because it (along with the entire situation) just shows their romance as being able to last outside of a protective bubble. I suppose it's my turn to post a chapter, so I should get to work! Hee! Cheers! |
YA-YA 5/19/08 . chapter 34 Finally! I've been trying for hours to leave a review for both this one and your other story but kept getting a 'technical difficulties' message. UGH! Great chapter, again. One thing I must point out though: men can in fact get breast cancer. It's very rare, compared to women, but possible. Of course, you probably were aware of that, but Bill wasn't, so you'll need to educate him. ;) Maybe Neil should've said that Tamara's father was in the hospital dying from a bad hysterctomy. Now THAT would be funny! XD |
Lysi Marie 5/19/08 . chapter 34...me no likey Neil... but Huzzah for Wonka/Tamara huggyness because of Neil's evilness! ...woah... I think I just reverted back to childhood for a second there... creepy... anywhoo! Lovely chapter as always dearie! Lysi Marie |
YA-YA 5/17/08 . chapter 33 Forgive me for taking so long to get a review up today- I had just started reading this morning when my computer monitor decided to go 'kaplooey' on me. Now I've got another one that hopefully will last awhile. Very exciting chapter! Neil sounds like a first-class jerk. I'll be waiting to see what happens now... |
iCraft 5/17/08 . chapter 33BERK! That's a cliffy if I've ever read one. :) I love how you update consistently, it's nice. :D I'm strangely glad that Niel recognized the Belinda is crazy. However, so is Niel. You've created some good villains here. They're very antagonistic, just as villains should be. :) Good chapter, I hope to see the next one soon! |
Lysi Marie 5/17/08 . chapter 33DUN-DUN-DUN! That was unexpected... but entirely awesome for the story! I can't wait to see what's going to happen next! And more Wonkavator-ness? Yummy! Lysi Marie |
La Vik 5/17/08 . chapter 33Eep, Neil is even more creepy than I thought he would be, and oddly enough, I've had a little experience with someone similar to him, so having him finally take center stage really hit home for me - literally, gave me the shudders. The chapter was a little overwhelming (in a good way) with the two loons being the main focus. I'm waiting in white-knuckled suspense to see what's going to happen at Bill's shop! And how, if the situation requires, Willy might handle it, for that matter. Cheers! |
iCraft 5/15/08 . chapter 32aww great chapter! i loved their little moment in the elevator. they are so cute together. :) |
YA-YA 5/13/08 . chapter 32 I liked the background you gave here on Bill and Willy's early friendship. That was interesting. Of course, the whole rest of the chapter was also interesting as well. Now, how is Tamara going to get that safe of hers? Keep writing, girl! :D |
Lysi Marie 5/13/08 . chapter 32Such a lovely chapter... and I love the Wonkavator! (such fine memories!...ahem..) I love the interactions between Tamara and Willy... they are so sweet together... (no pun intended.) Please update soon! I'm excited for the next chapter! Lysi Marie |
La Vik 5/13/08 . chapter 32First of all - Thank you very much for the shoutout! I really appreciate it. Anyhoo, onto the review! I'm itching to find out what happens next. Oddly enough, I have this inkling that Belinda's going to take the opportunity to show up. She's such an effective antagonist though, just mentioning her gives me the creeps. I really enjoyed the expansion on the relationship between Willy and Tamara, and telling the story of where here life was at the point of the contest eases her even more comfortably into the universe of the movie. I always appreciate work with a sufficiently developed backstory, because it provides so much more for both the reader and the writer to work with. Cheers! |
Victory-Starr 5/12/08 . chapter 31Oh boy. How'd I know that was bad new? I dunno, I guess it's just the whole obviousness of Belinda's twisted mind! I don't blame neither Willy or Tamara for being freaked out by all of this. If I were them, I would be too. I thought it was really just very sad the way she was pretty much just assuming that Willy was angry with her and jealous. I mean, I understand why she thought that. It's just sad that she's learned that thought process sorta reaction. It was really sweet for Willy to be there for her throughout all that. But the whole "I need to be strong for her" thing worries be a bit, I must admit. I mean, yeah, being hysterical won't help things at all. Especially if they were both like that. But I hope Willy does get a chance to express his fears as well, because I think that's important for him to do for himself and not keep it all bottled up inside. So if not to Tamara, then maybe Clara because she seems like a good sounding board. But then, maybe just being honest with Tamara would be better. What do I know? ;-) Okay, enough of my endless meanders. In short, this was another wonderfully worded chapter and the overall flow of emotions and feelings, I felt, were illustrated beautifully. It got to the point where, though I was reading, I didn't see words on a screen but rather the scene itself. So terrific job on that! You're doing awesomely, my friend. And that is nothing but the truth. Keep on rolling! |
La Vik 5/11/08 . chapter 31I actually got a bit breathless with Tamara's reaction to the contents of the package - and I swear, I could hug Willy for being so understanding of her circumstances. Well, of course, I'd take any reason to hug him, but that's beside the point. "I thought all this time that she just wanted to win me over with travel brochures, plagiarized quotes, and bad poetry." I couldn't help but giggle at that bit, plus a few other Willyisms, despite the very serious topic at hand, but that's part of the reason why your portrayal of him is so dead on. Willy has a way of brightening things up. Cheers! |
La Vik 5/11/08 . chapter 30I REALLY loved the way you finally brought Willy and Tamara around to admitting their feelings to one another - it was sweet, without being way too saccharine, which I see happen alot. I'm actually a bit guilt of it myself, hee! I don't know if I've pointed it out in any ofmy previous reviews, but I really appreciate the way that your character dialogues are incredibly believable - it's a pet peeve of mine when characters start uttering things that are outlandish, considering their backgrounds. Cheers! |
