A very heartwarming story. Even now, my eyes are threatening to water. I believe Judas repented of his sin of betrayal. I don't know if God ever forgave him for committing suicide. The Bible doesn't record this, but it could have happened the way your story ends. We won't know until we meet Jesus face to face, I suppose.
