Despite being thoroughly non-cannon, I really really like! "For every equal and opposite reaction" - such a perfect set up. And, that Watson was there (I thought that Mrs Hudson would come in, but him! - wonderful!). Her reaction is perfect, really - not having recieved one before, nor ever expecting it of him, her mind would blank; his strain is great, too. Brilliant set up and execution. I really enjoyed the language you used--it seems that I'm always obsessing over syntax and word choice, but that's because I've been studying poetry in class for over two months. Anyway--you made the OOC/OOP very believable, mostly because you kept the essence of the characters the same.
