I can see the potential for a good story here, really, but it's just not showing up. I really wish I could get into this, but even with expecting cheese, this isn't very well told. Have you considered getting a beta? A beta could help you polish this and make it a much better read. Please consider that?

Can you please put dialogue in the proper quotes? It's these " " not these ' ' Okay? That will go a long way toward encouraging other readers to continue with this story. Not everyone has their best friend telling them to read it. ;)

Stormy 2008-03-09 ch 1, anon.	abuseI was going to give it a try, even after the misspellings in the summary (yes, we read them, yes, we judge whether or not to read your story based on summaries). People do not get money from the government for adopting a child. They get money from the government to FOSTER a child. And that money, in a perfect society, is supposed to help pay for things the child needs. Also, they wouldn't name him Xander, they would have named him Alexander. Xander is a nickname. Next - don't ask people to guess what it's being crossed with. It's like asking people who they think person X should be 'shipped' with. Write a story if you want. Don't make put it on the reader's shoulders to give you feedback to continue the story.

As to having seen BSG in your last response. I was more than old enough to remember the first Theatrical and TV run. Making me a wee bit older than most fanfic readers.
