Fantastic! Wonderful bringing together of several elements. Thought the last snippet from Death was perfect. Have to say though that you had me going with Death's countdown just as it was approaching six o'clock! Had a horrible feeling it was going to be Vimes - which sounds nasty to Barry, I know, but still... Anyway, thought this was a lovely little piece. Very well written indeed.
