It's really good, and this is only the first chapter (albeit a slightly long first chapter...) =O The characterizations are nice and making Phoenix ... mute ... is a different touch. | Officer 1BDI 2008-03-10 ch 1, | abuseIn all honesty, I'm not a big fan of "two unrelated kids were raised in the same household fall in love with each other over time" ships (it's why I can never get into Miles/Franziska), but this story is so intriguing and different that I had to favorite it. I always wonder where Nick's parents are; him being a foster child isn't a huge stretch to me since he NEVER seems to talk about them. I definitely see Gregory doing what he did (just as I definitely see Manfred doing what HE did: using Nick to get to Miles is evil, but nevertheless effective). Making Nick literally lose his voice is an interesting twist (and I think I see where you're using his silence to the plot's advantage *cough*Dollie*cough*). I'm really interested in seeing where you're taking this. |
