I was pointed to this story by someone on my forum who said that the started shipping this pairing because of this fic, and I can see why. It is very well written and sweet without being overdone. I like that Susan is portrayed as being vulnerable even when she is suppose to be the strong one for Hannah. Great job!

This was so lovely and heartbreakingly true. So often first love sneaks up on you. You only know that you need this person somehow, need their touch, their voice, their mere presence in your life. You have captured all of that so well it brought tears to my eyes.

How wonderful that Susan finally takes the plunge, finally succumbs to the need to know, to voice her feelings, to not live under the shadow of 'what if'. So many people don't ever take the plunge much to their eternal regret and though the answer, when the plunge is taken, may not be what they want to hear, at least they have had the courage to voice their true feelings. Though of course when the answer is the desired one you feel the most indescribable elation but even when the answer is not what you desired the knowledge that you have finally given voice to your feelings can be very freeing in so many ways.
