| Terranova210486 2008-05-08 ch 1, | abuseVery good. I found it to be very moving. Please do more Black Lagoon fics in the future. |
| Hoppy-chan 2008-04-18 ch 1, | abuseHuh...this is bittersweet, in many ways. I've been editing like mad for the better part of nine hours, so I can't say much coherently, but I like that you gave us a view of Eda- she seems rather unappreciated on the whole. And you dealt with something people tend to shy away from- actually, you upped my respect for her character a good deal. Not that I didn't love her already. I'm miffed that Revy's dead, but being the incorrigible fangirl that I am that doesn't quite count. ^^' You managed to make this hopeful, with a bit of the spice that's the Eda we all know and love at the end, and so things were left...if not happy, than hopeful. Thanks for the read. *is Very Happy you decided to write for Black Lagoon* ~Naolin |
| Emiko87 2008-03-12 ch 1, | abuseyou posted it. yayness ^_^ I really do feel honored my stories touched you so much that you would write something like this. |
| nytecat 2008-03-11 ch 1, | abuseBravo on posting your first Black Lagoon fic! I like it that Eda was angry and yet vulnerable at the same time. It sort of fits into her gruff character. Between her and Revy, I think she had a harder time expressing her true emotions - almost as if she had them masked for so long that she could no longer recognise them for what they were. Anyway, I enjoyed this even though it's a sad fic. |
| Sambucivox 2008-03-10 ch 1, | abuse" For all the shit that they lived through, none would be given the chance to find happiness beyond here." -> last Pope said that Hell didn't exist, and they are buried in catholic ground. Even if Benedict changes that now, it wouldn't have retroactive effect, which means that by the Law of God they must be in Heaven. Which would be oak-aged mead for Dutch, DSL connection for Benny -instead of that noisy dial-up that he uses!- a pyramid of cans to shoot at for Revy and a new turquoise tie for Rock. I loved the bouquet; the use of jungle ivy as a rope was pretty inspired, as were Eda's last words at her departed friend. I mentioned it before, but it's difficult to write true happiness in a death story, and you managed to do it. There was even a glimpse of Rico, a character held in high esteem by this reader. Good work, I hope to read more for this fandom in the future. |
