 Vicis 2009-07-14 . chapter 6But it's a cute bit of ridiculous fluff! |
 everyme 2009-04-20 . chapter 6Hey:)
Very funny story, you really managed to capture Snape´s personality rather well. Although sometimes (e.g. when thanking Gloriana for the scarf or in conversations with McGonagall or Pomfrey) he is OOC, his thoughts and feelings (especially the way he is embarrassed when someone thanks him) were mostly canon, I think. And I think you didn´t overdo it; in some fanfictions, Snape is just too nice to be canon. But your take to his personality was very good, I think. I really enjoyed reading it.
My most famous moment by far was the moment in Lupin´s office when Snape suddenly realizes that he still wears the pink and lilac striped scarf Gloriana made him XD I just burst out laughing and couldn´t stop for some time. Someone should do a fanart of him wearing a scarf like that.
I also enjoyed reading the conversations between Snape and McGonagall. I just think that if Snape was a bit more open the two of them would talk to each other like that, you know, teasing each other :)
To sum it up, it was one of the best Snape fanfictions in the genre Humor I ever read. I really think it´s hard to combine „Snape“ and „humor“ and still make Snape´s personality believable, but you really managed it quite well, in spite of making him a bit OOC :)

Fayet 2009-03-12 . chapter 6Ahw.. that was just a perfect piece of christmas fluff. Just the image of Snape with a pink/lavender scarf around his head will keep me grinning for weeks and weeks to come. Thanks! Loved it. |
 Artemis1000 2009-03-09 . chapter 6Such a cute story, I love it! |
See Saw 2009-03-01 . chapter 6Gen fics make me absolutely ecstatic and one this well-written and devised was a real treat. Thanks!

Riku-Rocks 2009-02-03 . chapter 6I rather enjoyed this story. It was funny and sweet without being silly or fluffy. The narrative and grammar are solid. The pace and style were excellent, as was the the choice of characters. While they are slightly out of character (as I understand they were intended to be), they do not read as all *that* out of character to me, given the circumstances and perspective. After all, we rarely see the inner workings and relationships of the staff at Hogwarts where they do not pertain to Harry in the books. However, the base characteristics we are shown are all present here and bent within reason where they do deviate. The concept is simple but interesting and well executed. Well done. |
Melissa Jooty 2009-01-26 . chapter 6This was a wonderful story; there's nothing like a nice piece of hurt/comfort for our boy Sev!.
I actually didn't think the characters were OOC at all (and I'm an expect at avoiding stories where the characters act all fluffy and sappy). I could see, away from Harry's biased perspective, Snape having an odd friendship with Poppy and McGonagall and they, in turn, feeling some maternal responsibility to someone who they have known since he was eleven years old and who is one of the youngest teachers on staff. As for Lupin, I think he would reach out to Snape and it was Black's selfish influence that prevented any chance of forgiveness taking place on Snape's part. |
 girlfan1979 2008-12-18 . chapter 6What a sweet story.
It's a small pity that Voldemort hadn't yet returned. Snape inflicting his cold on his fellow Death Eaters would have been hilarious. |
misundersnape 2008-12-01 . chapter 6I loved this! Someone showing some concern for Severus was conspicuously absent in canon... hooray for you!
Great writing, good characterisation (as far as I'm concerned) and who gives a hoot about not sticking to canon - to be honest DH in particular wasn't worth the wait anyway. This was much more satisfying.
Thanks for sharing...

Sinkme 2008-11-28 . chapter 6Aw. that story made me blush ;-)
really enjoyed it. i love how well you described each character, you really captured snape, mcg, and lupin and i would love it if you expanded on this story or wrote another one similar to it |
Reidluver 2008-11-27 . chapter 6This was a beautifully crafted tale! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and those last two sentences totally made it perfect, letting us know how much Snape really appreciated their help. ^_^ I've always known Snape was good, and I think his character is intriguing. |
FanOfEverything100 2008-11-22 . chapter 6Aw, this is so cool! The ending was really good and it was not exactly out of charicter either so it made it realistic to my eyes.
Keep it up!

Captivebird 2008-11-04 . chapter 6 Forgot to say how much I liked the little touch of Minerva becoming more Scottish when emotional. Speaking as one who does just that herself ... it's very authentic! |
Captivebird 2008-11-04 . chapter 6 Catching up on fic reading at last and was delighted to see that you have completed this. Such an affectionate portrayal of Snape grudgingly accepting help from his colleagues! I have always believed that Severus got on perfectly well with his fellow teachers. Minerva in particular shares much of his austerity and acerbic wit. Poppy must surely have collaborated and shared knowledge with him regularly, and Lupin is such a sweetie – so empathetic. This is exactly how I like to imagine the staff behaving when not seen through the spectrum of Harry's spectacle lenses! Loved the inclusion of repentant twins and the scarf-knitting admirer too. :-)
Hope comment will reach you, as I'm not a member. Updated Tracer is next on my 'must read' list!
