lol have you even read the books? this is nonsense Voldemort is not supposed to be Hitler... Gellert Grindelwald is. You know that dark wizard over in Europe that Dumbledore defeated in hm let me see... 1945! not to mention this Grindelwald had a concentration camp for his enemies called Nuremgard hmm... pretty close to Nuremberg where Hitler held his rallies. It is also interesting that Grindelwald shared Hitlers interest in super weapons (elder wand). You mention that the ministry of magic not wanting to get involved is a reference to the USA well... this was Dumbledore vs Grindelwald he didnt want to get involved until he had too... and ultimatly won. Your take on the USA doesnt work because the ministry of magic didn't do anything unlike the US. I agree that there are similarities but the fact is J K Rowling has explained WWII already in her books. This makes Voldemort a Neo-Nazi not Hitler. Nicely written though!

Further evidence would include the similarities between the names Nurmengard, Grindelwald's prison, and Nuremberg, the location of a concentration camp as well as the Nazi trials; Winston Churchill's attempts to inform the public that Germany was marching to war were ignored, just as Dumbledore and Harry were ignored about the resurrection of Voldemort; the pushing of the press to write what people wanted to hear instead of the truth (i.e. Rita Skeeter and the Daily Prophet) was extremely close to Hitler and the Nazis controlling the radio broadcasts, newspaper articles, etc in Germany; and Potterwatch, the secret program on the radio, is similar to Germans stealing shortwave radios and listening to a version of the BBC broadcasted for those in Germany who could - and would -listen. If you're interested.

I've only read the British version of this before, so an American interpretation was interesting to read. Thanks!
