At first I thought Alatar being female was just one of the changes to canon in this AU story of yours, but since you mention that you own the character, I think you should either change her name or make it very, very, very clear to your readers that you aren't in any way trying to claim ownership over the wizard called Alatar originally created by J.R.R. Tolkien (one of the Blue Wizards, went missing in the East). Actually, now that I think of it, the best way to go about this would definitely be changing the name, because otherwise you'll just end up confusing your readers with two different wizards called Alatar.
