I watched the show because River is touched in the wits and hence any departure from that idea bores me to death. I do think that it's cute for River andJayne to be special friends, in the manner you are thinking of, in a non-romantic manner, in a loving close friend/brotherly way. I think that we would agree on many things, well done not including the BDM, I hated it so anything before it is usually superior though I have read a few post fics that are still good. I'd like to see more of this sweet stuff. You should attach an f to Rayne, making it fRayne (friendship of River and Jayne) thus indicating that it isn't a romance. Best Wishes and I like your speed

RomanceGuru 2008-03-18 ch 1,	abuseI really enjoyed this, it was sweet without being too sentimental. Being a Rayne shipper, this was breath of fresh air. If you start out writing them with a romantic mindset, it tends to be too mushy and less convincing. Anyways, your Jayne rocks. Loved these two lines, “If anyone saw this, he'd end them.” “Well, that's about as much crazy as I can handle for one day.” I do hope you continue!
