Moist who can hardly help himself from taking the pencils (and not even noticing) and Drumknott who notices the loss of each and every one.

:P Yay for a Moist POV. (Oh, God, I just read what I wrote, but it's so hard to make a sentence involving the name 'Moist' inoffensive!)
I love that he's sort of a victim of circumstance or an unknowing kleptomaniac- he gets distracted and then- oh look!- he's got another pencil. Last line is very nice, very (screw it) Moist.
I noticed one very tiny typo (because I'm a pedant)- should be "aN exhausted Moist..."
Very enjoyable and it made me laugh, thanks for adding to the Pencil Saga :)

I always suspected that Moist was a kleptomaniac or stylo-maniac as the case may be.

What a gem! I found this really very funny. Besides, I am a teacher and can truly share Drumknott's frustration about disappearing pencils...

So poor Drumknott is going mad cos Moist keeps stealing them and Moist is trying to figure out why pencils are growing in his pockets and why the latest crop have strange implements attached? Ha! Well done.

HAHA! I LOVED it. Moist is doing it all unintentionally... Brilliant! I loved this, its such a good rendering of Pratchett's style, but your own unique style is also visible, which is perhaps how fan fiction should be.

As a side note, after reading your first chapter, I started re-reading Making Money that very same night, without realising why. I think its even better than last time I read it!

Loved it! Thought the little mention of the latest pencil having a piece of wire attached was a wonderful touch. The bit about him having kept Vetinari ten whole minutes had me grinning madly. Think you nailed Moist's character down very well indeed. The way you manipulated the situation so that he didn't realise he was nicking the pencils was very clever, as we never hear him mention it in the books, it's only ever Vetinari who notices. Very clever little chapter and thank you for adding it! Made the story seem much more satisfying to have both points of view.
