Summercloud 2008-10-01 ch 10,	abuseI love good stories with kids! And it's particularly satisfying to have Harry adopted, because he so deserves it. I skipped a lot of the exposition about the pilots' lives at the beginning, and I think you could actually cut a lot of it out: save it for later, and you can reveal it in small chunks as part of the plot. Now that you know that background it won't be wasted. My only real gripe is that Harry seems to act much younger than nine. All the cuddling he's doing-- I'd expect it of a seven year-old, not a nine year-old. I'll give you that he's emotionally stunted in some ways, but you also make a point of how, in many ways, he acts like an adult. That dichotomy rubbed me the wrong way, but it wasn't enough to ruin the story for me. Thank you for writing this, and I look forward to updates.

Honestly, I am usually rather leery of Harry Potter/Gundam Wing crossovers, as they never seem to come together realistically. One of the few I actually enjoy is Capricious Purple Clarity's fictions (if you would like to check it out). However, I must say I am really enjoying your story. You make it sound realistic, even the pilots' different personalities, and you give credence and life to the plot. I am very much looking forward to what may come.

I also like how you did a slow adjustment with Harry from meeting Trowa to leaving the Dursleys to meeting the rest of the pilots. It made sense. Hopefully Harry won't have too many complications.

I have only one question: how will the pilots react to Harry's accidental magic? And I would love for the Dursley's to be taken to court for child abuse. evil grin
