I'll let you know that I am not very much in love with this pairing, but that's more due to the bad fic I have been scarred with than anything. You portrayed them nicely, though -- without the exaggeration of turning this into a sob fest. This was nice blend of comedy and seriousness. Nuriko's slight heartache, but willingness to be there for Hotohori was very IC; he is a very selfless character, in spite of what his bitchiness at the beginning of the series might suggest. I really liked how you hinted at his childishness (...Nuriko pouted deeply in confusion...) and weren't afraid of showing his attraction to Hotohori. You didn't make him too feminine either, but portrayed Nuriko simply as himself (though, the "him" might be debatable, according to some fans). The last sentence was love. Seriously. Thanks for sharing. You just write the most enjoyable and loveliest drabbles/ficlets ever. It is enviable because I certainly couldn't convey that much without writing a novella, at least. |
