This was really unique and quite fascinating. It's amazing he didn't go insane.

Wow, this was a really ingenious idea and it really stands out among all the Stargate fics that I've read over the years, but I get the feeling that only such a talented and experienced writer such as yourself could have pulled it off.
Everything I love about science-fiction is right here. An extremely enjoyable read.

You're right--this does have creepy overtones cause you don't know what's real and what's happening only in his mind. I can see the influence of Diana Wynne Jones who manages to mix the real and not real, past and present. Very interesting story and unsettling to say the least. Through it all, John Sheppard remains a man who will not let his teammates die.

Apologies, first of all, for not reviewing upon first reading! I get lazy, sometimes...

Anyway, wow. Creepy indeed. You built up the suspense so well - showing John's slow deterioration and making him wonder if he really was going crazy, but always there to save his team and everyone else around him.

And, as usual, you have such lovely imagery! You write very beautifully. Always such a pleasure to read.

Such a dark place and so much worse than a repetition of the same event as in Ground Hog Day. So realistic to see how long it was taking for John to recover from such a hellish experience.

You know I don't like to cry, but you did it anyway. A pox on you! That was so good. Thanks. Speaking of pox. I've got myself a flaming case of shingles right now. Sheppard ever had shingles? Hurts like the worst sunburn ever; with the added addition of some little guy with a pick axe trying to get to my brain. Not to mention the temperture, dizziness, etc. Its hell.
