Beautifully written. Reading this felt like spiraling into darkness, accompanying Light all the way down. My heart hurts.

I liked this. It was terribly sad, though. Great work!

I just say: I thought I had read good stories. Until I read this. Really, I'm stunned. You word choice, the structure of the story, the sentences in between... it reaches perfection. I personally don't think that Light hated L when he had lost his memory, but you brought it in a subtle way. The dreams were really good. His and Ryuzaki's relationship is so complex, but you pulled it off.

Some of my favourite lines:

...crosses his mind with enough speed he can tell Ryuzaki honestly and with indignation that he’s never even thought about it, God, Ryuzaki!
(Very good portraying of his unconcious feelings)

...that he had a tongue so silver people only realised it when he pulled out all the stops and by then it was too late.
(Simply amazing. Perfect, poetic description of Light.)

Light dreams of L, falling, falling, his eyes black and wide and astonished and dead and he laughs and laughs.

(and then he wakes up, gasping and choking on his own self-hatred)

(Again, amazing.)

Well, that was only a selection. You have a real talent! :)

They are so obsessed, the both of them. You show how easy it would have been for them to switch roles.

Regardless of my sympathies, this was an excellent one-shot. :) I loved the development you put into this. You captured the tension perfectly, and the scattered off-set parentheses were wonderful. Both of them are completely in character, too, which made for warm and fuzzy reading.

Oh my god, where did you learn to DO this?

I love this one, makes me feel very sad and portrays Light's inner turmoil perfectly.

Just makes me feel even more regretful for the circumstances that they're in.

you write so so beautifully! i like how you had Light's hateful feelings toward L grow, how at first he was grateful and more or less content but fell into obsessive hatred. great job keeping them in character but adding depth to their relationship.

I haven't actually read Death Note yet, but I'll have to now just to know the background to this. It's impossible, however, for Death Note to be anywhere near as wonderful as this and your other stories. Reading these stories, I can perfectly imagine the voice that would narrate them, simply stating what is. It's never blatantly emotional, but all the more powerful for it.

This was a great story. You really used good word choices, and the shrap to the point writing was great. I can't wait to read more. I hope you write many more DN fics, you are so good at them.
