Reviews For: The Last Dinner Party

Lovely piece of work (as always). The best thing (as always, again) is your characterization of Ben and Juliet. Amazing, just... WOW. I could definitely see this happening since Ben is just so obsessed with her.

One of my favourite scenes in story is the part with Juliet hiding behind the shower door and preparing to ambush him if he came in. It reminds me of the Jack/Juliet-ambush back in 3x01, and I could just see how Ben would already KNOW that she'd try to do something like that, and therefore, not open the door. It's these subtle things in your fics that really help us understand the way your characters think, and that's what I love about it.

I'd would LOVE to see more from you. ESPECIALLY Ben/Juliet!

i love the way you write Ben and Juliet. They always seem so in character. Loved the way you capture the dark/twisted relationship they have

Wow I read this three times it's an incredible story. I really enjoyed how in character they both were. How Juliet thought of how she would have blow torched his house first if she had the opportunity. Then how she would have been fully willing to run through the woods shoeless if she needed too. I liked the irony of how Ben said he would have drugged the orange juice as opossed to the turkey. The part I liked most though I would have to say is the end where Ben say's "You win" coming from Ben, if that doesn't make the world seem like all hell has broke loose nothing will.

ps. As opposed to the other reviews I think it is perfect as a oneshot, you really have covered everything.

OMG, this was amazing!

I love how this begins - not really a perfect start for a "love-story" but so fitting for their twisted relationship. This line about the rope was great. Ben thinks this way.

Of course Ben won the war, Juliet should have never doubted his ability and power. And I liked that he never lied to her, because it's an interesting trait for a "villain" (he's actually not a villain but a good guy, I do believe so ;D ).

Lol, I think it was a great idea to let Juliet shower and dress nicely like he did with Kate before.

The idea of Ben not giving her shoes in order to keep her trapped was hilarious! I like how Juliet always tries to asses Ben (although he's always a step ahead).

Like always, Ben's the perfect gentleman :) . He's definitly the best mannered "villain" ever!
And his cooking seems to be really amazing - Juliet adoring his food and kind of breaking because of it was really really really great!

Lol at the orange juice reference :D . I like how Ben has to talk to her like to a child. (But please don't misunderstand me, I totally get Juliet's feelings and behaviour in this scene! And I'm not one of those fans who hate Juliet for refusing Ben, I actually like her more than him!)

The conversation on the radio was really heart-breaking. Por Juliet (and Jack and the other losties).

And I know I should not think so but I loved Ben in this last part of the story. Like he soothes her and tries to calm her down (although he's actually responsible for her misery, but I refuse to think about that). And I loved that he did not yet tell her that everything's going to be all right, but he tries to earn her trust back bit by bit :) . Kind of really sweet, as sweet as he can ever be at least. And I liked that he gave in to her demand of updates, it's the least he could do.

I actually kind of believe that everything might be all right between them someday! I don't know why, but your story gave me my faith in this couple back.

So please, please, please continue writing stuff like that - or even continue this? Because I'd totally love to read how they might get back on good terms again. Because I think it could happen. Even after this more or less strange beginning. And seeing that you write them really well and in character and you totally get them, I'd love to read a continuation!

Needless to say, I loved it totally!

Wow, very expressive. There is real potential for a story from this, but I do think it works as a oneshot. A fantastic piece of writing and character analysing.
