...Wow. I love Obi Wan's and Anakins relationship (as brothers), and... Wow. Poor Obi. Poor Ani.

Amaking story. I feel weird inside now. You should be pleased. That's a compliment.

Hey, really good job! I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction between Vader and Obi-Wan, and the ending was lovely!

Very good. You've got some very interesting concepts here, and although the beginning was a bit slow I was drawn in by such thoughts as "He’s had kinder enemies." and the couple paragraphs leading up to "“We both know I made a very poor Jedi, from more than one point of view.”" Nice fic, well and smoothly written.

The first star wars fic in ages that incorporated ANYTHING from the new movies that didn't make me feel slightly nauseous.

Short but quite sweet enough. Very pleased.

Very nice! I had the feeling that while Vader found Obi-Wan's visits unsettling the last spark of Anakin didn't. This talk was a far cry from the ones they once shared; but it seemed to me that despite everything the two were still learning from each other. Obi-Wan might think that Luke's chances of redeeming his father a very long shot but however faintly he's still hoping. And that last exchange was excellent, something to give Vader pause. It might not have been the answer he wanted to hear, but then, he didn't ask the right question. It was also interesting that he told Obi-Wan that he chose to follow Palpy freely, and that Obi-Wan had nothing to do with it. That's a change from his words on Mustafar and his previous attitude. My thanks for writing this vignette!

Hi, Maddie! Good to see you back! And with such an intense and wise Star wars story, not the less. I love this excahangem, love the way you paint Vader and Kenobi, and the unquiet relationship of Jedi and (ex) Padawan, here.

Vader's disquiet and hidden pain about this relationship gone awry comes over intensely.

"He cuts himself off before his voice can rise furthermore. A friend. Kenobi crippled him and left him to die slowly in the fires of Mustafar. He’s had kinder enemies."

And on the other hand this:

(quote)

“Love? From a Jedi?” This time, he does laugh. The idea is preposterous. “The Jedi lived by rules and principles, repressing their emotions and they never came down from their ivory tower long enough to grow close to other people, let alone love them, Master.”

(end quote)

as always, you touch *exactly* on the points I always felt the more problematic side iof these Jedi.

All in all, a great little view at the relationship between these two, Is this a stand-alone, or will there be another chapter?

In any case, welcome back, and thank you for writing and sharing!

That was really sad. I hadn't thought much about Obi-wan and Anakin being friends. A very tragic angle.
