That whole thing was great and thrilling but I have to say that I loved the ending the best!! totally worthy ending for an awesome story! Loved it! Thanks for writing it :)

I loved it! This last chapter, as the whole story, was gripping and kept me on the edge of my seat. I had to interrupt the reading twice because of familial duties and man, I was NOT happy! Ask my family!
Married or not, Dean and Laura are simply made for each other and no one, not even a marauder will be able to separate them. And now they can say that one tried once...
Sammy and Kitsune... Could it be... It would certainly be interesting... Something to think about for the next story of this saga. Because there'll be more, right? I mean, I really don't know what else they could fight that could really be a challenge for them now but I'd like to see if (it's just a thought) Enki and Ina, ehm... Dean and Laura will get Marduk/Sam a little brother... or nephiew... I think I've confused myself here.
However, awsome job with this story.
Really (REALLY) hoping for more.

It is very bitter sweet to come to the final chapter of this wonderful piece of work.

You ended it with such style, the battle scenes truly breathtaking and the ending of Nergal very fitting indeed. Then once the marauder is no more and the clean up gets underway you have things weirdly migrating back to normal for Sam,Dean & Laura... and yet the memories still linger, the actions that have driven them through a hundred lifetimes still stays with them... still human and yet so much more. Still the central hub of a universe still has its heroes to offset the darkness that still surrounds it.

And yes, even as you end it here in part, there are other stories in this mythological world to still spill out. Nergal's rape of Ereshkegal may still have unwanted consequences (again I see the connection here - this brutal act the polar opposite to the joyous act Dean and Laura shared in the previous chapter). And Sam is still high on the wanted list despite their victory here. Other dangers, other monstrosities await them, but with their humanity still intact there is faith, belief, that they will win out.

Just an awesome read Sifi, from start to finish, just blindingly brilliant my dear. Rozzy.

Sifi - how do you do it? Sink so deep into the characters that their voices echo so true off the page:

>“It’s a healing spring... it’ll finish the job,” the woodland god explained.

“Will it get rid of my arthritis?” Bobby snarked then looked at Shep, “What? Can’t tell me you don’t have a few aches and pains of your own...”>

I had to laugh when Big C admitted that as naive as humankind was they were a 'lot of fun' to have around. Gives you something to hang on to us as the rest of our army of friends face such ungodly powers.

And speaking of powers Sam well and truly comes into his own here, facing down Nergal with so much confidence I had such pride for him, as does Enki/Dean. Split personalities aside for our 3 main characters this whole chapter reinforced the mythology, that what is just and true must win out in the end, and that each god, demigod, defiled their role at a cost.

And yep I have to mention the sex! That this simple but enabling act between two lovers that have stood true from the beginning of known time just seemed so right to slip in here. And yay, big YAY, our Sammy gets his own concubine...way to go Sammyboy!

So, again apologies for my late penniesworth, there was a whole lot of great stuff to inhale, digest and absorb. Rozzy.

Okay, I know this (out of all the mythos and exciting battle) seems like an odd quote to start my review with, however, I love that you not only picked up on that one line from the show, but wrote a story around it - adding to the depth of the Winchester universe.

"“Raccoons... ornery bastards... no better than giant rats if you ask me...” Tom hissed.

“Don’t say that to Dean... though I’m sure there’s plenty of rats among them too,”"

OMG - how much do I love Enki quoting Yoda?! That was - Enki, right?

From there until almost the end, I could tear my eyes from the page, out of the story for a second. The action was too quick, the details to many to risk it.

This was the first place that a chuckle escaped and I could breathe again.

"Enki leaned forward and unbuttoned the boys’ shirt then tore through the hole in the ‘t’ beneath. His relief was obvious at the sight of the faint pink scarring over the young man’s chest. Gently he pressed one hand to the spot and wrapped the other around his neck, “You just LOVE scaring the crap out of me don’t cha boy? First that Jake kid shanks you in the back... now this... not to mention everything in between! Jeez man you gotta stop this stuff!” he implored"

Oh, the ending was open, yet settled and I do love that you gave us at least one sweet moment to close on.

A rich universe, sifi, well done!

“For all our sakes we’d better pray they are.” - I find a certain irony in that statement - gods saying they need to pray. :D It strokes my Christian ego, even though I'm pretty sure you meant it as a very human statement (after all, even Jesus prayed whilst in human form).

“Be reckless,” - I love that! Awesome.

Oo... reading from a dog's perspective. How intriguing.

Okay... this is going to be disappointingly short, but I promise I'll add to it later (don't know that I can re-review something I've already reviewed, but if not I'll e-mail you). Just know that I'm loving it. But I really have to go.

What an awesome way to end this series! You've done a wonderful job keeping it all tight and tense and gripping. I feel like I've learned so much during this journey through this 'verse and I'm very grateful for that.

CONGRATULATIONS! It was well done on so many levels and on SUCH a grand scale.

You've managed to maintain the essence of all these characters through their mythic re-invention and a tale of such wierd intricacy that I am, as ever, in awe.

After such an epic battle to end I suspect you may feel as exhausted as your armies. It's difficult to know how to wrap it all ... I would always read more (I kinda wanted some reference to those groups of human fighters - Jo and that silly girl with the hots for Dean whose name escapes me for now) but you have to draw a line somewhere. The demons and demi-gods left pretty quick but I guess they had places to be! And as you say - I'm just glad the universe is safe. Oh, and Dean IS allowed to marry Laura - but only because it's you!

I may just have to go and re-read bits. You have drawn such a detailed world of unknown names, history and mythology that it has been an absolutely unique experience of immersion. I've enjoyed every dive into your imagination.

So, THANK YOU for all your work - you deity defying, mythology maker you!

All inn all... even with a lot of difficult words for a poor Norwegian it was a great tale from beginning to end! It is so well patched together, there is so many people all the time and you keep perfect track of them as far as I know... You create them perfectly, and the once we do know like Sam and Dean you have evolved them without going away from who we see on tv 22 times a year... (and them some cus reruns and all that...). Bobby too... don't think he is ever a step away from who we all know he is... there is just something about him, and the lines you give him that is just HIM!

Anyways, this is kinda long? I LOVE IT! WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING ABOUT IT! GREAT WORK! YOU ROCK! YOU ARE AWESOME! YOU ARE FREAKING BRILLIANT! YOU GOT THE GIFT AND THE TALENT AND YOU KNOW I BELIEVE INN YOU ALL THE WAY! AND WHEREVER THAT WAY LEADS YOU!

Hi, And so it ends. This has been an amazing journey, from Pitch Black, through Twilight and Dawn we finally came to High Noon. An amazingly intense, emotional and every other word used to describe the rollercoaster these stories are.
Loved this last chapter, great to see everything come together like this and the ending was just perfect.
I will be looking out for updates for 'The Longest Weekend' and hopefully more stories from you. x

This was all super exciting. Even better than I got to read two in a row. I'm glad i finally got the time to sit there and read them. I have to admit that one of the best things i loved was Tommy and Shep's reunion ... i love those two.

Sorry it took me so long. Its been crazy here. I have been behind in all the things i have to do myself but incase u were still interested, my chapter is with my beta so it could be sometime this week :) finally. Like i said its freaking crazy.

What an amazing chapter as Laura takes Sam, her boy, onto what might become his penultimate journey making him face his past, his destiny with such faith matched by the fiery determination to give him time to face this. A girdle of motherly strength wrapped around her as she went into battle against the great 'monstrosity' Nergil. For the two loves of her life she is willing to die, has died too many times to count, for them, and always will. As for Sammy lets just pray he meets his destiny head on with the same clarity and strength that Dean raised him with. Gotta say this whole story arc is breathtaking in the reading and I just marvel at your skill to weave it all into a whole. Rozzy
