Hahaha! What's so funny is that a similar situation happened to me when I was little, but thankfully he and my parents gave up when we attacked each other with skateboards! . I love Kenshin, he's just so funny! Sarcasm is good for the reader's soul!

One thing I would like to point out: Kenshin is very OOC, but I expect that to get better. Anyway, I'm just glad that I'm not the only one who hears everything inside their head as a sarcastic remark or biting comeback!

Great job with the switching between perspectives! And I like how you made Kaoru and Kenshin say the same thing about breathing being good for them. It works really well with the switching between their perspectives, and shows how they think along the same lines already.

And I totally get using Tomoe as a "bad" character. In fanfiction, the characters can become whoever you want them to be... Actually, in writing period!

Anyway, this is really good, but I would keep the tense you're using in mind in the future. Sometimes you switch from past to present tense.

I'm enjoying this story immensely. I was hooked the minute I realized what the plot was.

Please continue this story! At least finish it with a chapter or two that resumes all! Please!
