Wow. I am so glad I found this. I wasn't going to start reading it, but then I saw who the author was and I figured, Why not? And I'm so glad I did.
I love the idea of a cousin instead of a long-lost sister or some other sort of rubbish. When AJ first said, "Darry?" in the first chapter, my first thought was, It's Ponyboy! Yeah, I know... but still. He was fourteen, and he knew Darry. But I'm glad it wasn't.
AJ seems like a really cool character, too. I love how he's street-smart and tough without being, you know, too perfect about it or something.
I can't wait until the next chapter. I'm very suspicious of these cousins of cousins thrice removed...

i need more. that is not as simple as it looks in print: i MUST have more; i pine for it, it is essential to my health and well-being. please. i beseech you.

this is brilliant. it reminds me vaguely of my first excursion into fanfiction with Annette the cousin from maine. but yours is way better, of course.

Curious to see where this one goes...how the dynamic of the older Curtis brothers blends with the cousin. So far, so good.

That's him exactly. I'll be honest enough to say I don't usually read any fan fic that has "other" new people in it. But your story is good. It doesn't try to change things into something they aren't or shouldn't be. Very good.

Compelling stuff. Not sure who they are just yet, but we know they're hoods.

It's pretty good (anything you write is always good), but I'd prefer if you updated 'Sculpting Souls' instead.

He's joking, right?... Darry better not let that kid out his site, lol. Then again, he might not be so anxious to give up a good thing so quickly... Btw, Eden's name thrills me, lol. I know I only like the poem because of the book, but it fits so beautifully :D You are doing a really fantastic job with this story, I really love it!

I was happy to see this tonight ... I hate going to the Outsiders section and finding nothing but garbage.

Anyway, I like where this is going. I liked the quick back and forth conversation between Darry and Ponyboy. It's nice to see how a few years have treated them (and their relationship) and it all seemed very natural. I'd imagine a house full of boys would be face-paced like that, and I was right there with AJ trying to keep up!

Great chapter - you can really bring the funny! What is Soda doing with a 17 year-old? - Hope there's more to that story. Also - love the dog's name :)

Well, now I'm curious to see who the dad's cousins are! I love where this story is going -- AJ is such a great character, and he seems like he fits in pretty well with the Curtises. And I can picture an older Pony so well from the way you describe him. :)

I think AJ's feelings of being slightly rushed and off-balance are mirrored in the way I was trying to follow what went along and not really 'getting it'. Nice work.

So Sodapop's alive? Good. I like an alive Sodapop. :D And as for AJ's unique culinary skills I see some things crop up in cousins, too. :D

The Outsiders take two! I love it! I can't believe Darry actually fell for going down the alley way... *Shakes head* But, I'm sure glad he did. Well, I'm glad he found AJ, lol.

Your style in this story is fresh and inviting, and not too quickly paced. It's a good pleasant read, and I can't wait for more :D
